Designed to remove grease, oil, dirt and loose paints from ferrous
metals. May be used in hot vats or recirculated spray wash units.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
NOTE: Not for use on aluminum, zinc, or galvanized metal.
When preparing fresh solution, be sure that water is cool — less than
100°F (37°C). When sweetening vat, cool solution to less than 100°F.
Add powder slowly, sprinkling across the surface to avoid boil-up,
spattering and splash-back.
NEVER ADD POWDER TO HOT SOLUTION!
HOT VATS: Dissolve 1 pound per gallon of water. Heat solution to
180°F (82°C) — 200°F (93°C). Immerse parts and allow to soak until
clean. Remove parts and rinse thoroughly with water.
Solution should be maintained periodically as follows:
(a) Check the level of the solution and replace water lost by
evaporation.
(b) Check the concentration of the solution with a Zep TK-10 Test Kit
and add sufficient powder to restore solution to original concentration.
(c) Accumulations of soil should be skimmed from the surface of the
solution periodically for more effective cleaning and increased vat life.
CABINET PRESSURE WASHERS: Dissolve 1/8 to 1/2 lb. per gallon
of water. Heat solution above 180°F. Operate machine as directed by
manufacturer. Rinse parts thoroughly after cleaning.
