BENEFITS : Prevents the release of odors caused from collecting, transporting, processing and disposing of waste by dramatically reducing the levels of nitrogen and sulfur compounds emitted. Odors become locked into the waste and remain so until disturbed. The high dilution rates allow for extremely economical use. Environmentally non-hazardous and biodegradable.

DESCRIPTION
A concentrated, direct-contact, odor-neutralizing liquid formulated to prevent release of malodors resulting from decomposition of organic substances. Not a mask or perfume, Enviro-Chem Cx actually neutralizes odors at their source and helps prevent the release of new odors.
APPLICATIONS
Apply solutions of Zep Enviro-Chem Cx directly to odor-generating surfaces in landfills (faces, leachate breakout, tipping floors, conveyors), compost windrows, refuse in transfer stations, exhumation sites in landfills, sludge beds of sewage treatment plants, waste lagoons, compactors, or truck wash reclaim pits to remove/eliminate odors. Also effective in controlling odors on concrete floors of transfer stations, in and around compactors, in the tanks of water trucks used to apply dust control agents to roadways, and street sweepers cleaning paved roads around landfills and treatment plants. DIRECTIONS:
Water Trucks/Street Sweepers: Zep Enviro-Chem Cx can be added to the
water tanks of these units to help control odors while the units control dust
from the site.
For Use in Pump-up Sprayer: Dilute 1 part Zep Enviro-Chem Cx with 100
parts water. Set nozzle for coarse, wet spray. To control odors, apply to
waste or surface to adequately make contact without wetting completely.
For Use In Compost: Dilute 1 gallon of Zep Enviro-Chem Cx with 100
gallons water. Apply this to every 100 cubic yards of compost as the
windrows are being formed. Repeat this for the first two windrow turnings
for a total of three applications.
For Use on Landfill Active Faces: Dilute 1 gallon of Zep Enviro-Chem Cx
with 500 - 1000 gallons water. Spray exposed waste to adequately make
contact without wetting completely. In a typical application, 1 gallon of
diluted product will treat approximately 100 square feet of landfill surface.
For Use in Transfer Stations: Incoming waste- Dilute 1 gallon of Zep
Enviro-Chem Cx with 100 - 500 gallons water. Spray to adequately make
contact without wetting completely. In a typical application, 1 gallon of
diluted product will treat approximately 42 tons of waste.
Surfaces- A solution of 1 gallon per 100 gallons of water sprayed or
mopped onto concrete floor will effectively eliminate odors from absorbed
liquids.
For Use in Landfill Exhumation: Dilute 1 gallon of Zep Enviro-Chem Cx
with 100 - 500 gallons water. Spray waste as it is being exhumed to
adequately make contact without wetting completely. In a typical
application, 1 gallon of diluted product will treat approximately 42 tons of
exhumed waste.
For Use in Waste Lagoons: Rentention ponds and lagoons holding liquid
wastes can be treated with Zep Enviro-Chem Cx to control odors. The
amount needed will vary depending on the type and level of liquid waste. A
starting point is 1 quart of Zep Enviro-Chem Cx per 1000 gallons of liquid
waste. After initial shock, apply as needed (approximately 1/2 ounce per
1000 gallons).
Truck Washing Reclaim Pits: As little as 1 gallon added to a 2000 gallon
pit will greatly reduce or eliminate odors from the pit as well as in wash
bays.
Trash Compactors/Dumpsters: In conjunction with the Zep Watch Dog
dispenser, application of a solution of 1 gallon Zep Enviro-Chem Cx per 100
gallons of water will control odors from refuse in the compactor/dumpster.
Also, occasional application of this solution to the concrete pad will help
control odors from absorbed liquids.
Equipment Note: Zep Enviro-Chem Cx, in its undiluted form, is corrosive
to metals. DO NOT use metal or metal-lined drum pumps to remove the
product from the drum. The use of plastic pumps is advised. Zep Enviro-
Chem Cx, once diluted as recommended, is compatible with metals.
