BENEFITS : Zep Formula 50 is a heavy duty, all purpose cleaner and degreaser. It consists of a blend of biodegradable, synthetic detergents, augmented by alkaline builders and a water-soluble, grease-dissolving solvent. Formula 50 contains polyphosphates for water softening and conditioning. It is blue in color, and has a mild, pleasant fragrance. The outstanding property of Zep Formula 50 is its very fast action in different cleaning operations on a wide variety of surfaces. It is non-flammable and non-corrosive. Formula 50 is truly a multi-purpose cleaner that is equally effective in cleaning woodwork, chrome, stainless steel, terrazzo, white sidewall tires, floors, walls, hoods, vents, ovens, grills, machinery, light fixtures, and other areas. It may be used for such diverse cleaning operations as floor cleaning, wax stripping, concrete floor cleaning, steam cleaning, as a degreaser for automobile engines, a white wall tire cleaner, and many other applications. Depending on the application, Zep Formula 50 may be diluted with water from 1:1 to 50:1. Anyone with a cleaning problem will find this product to be a valuable cleaning tool. Zep Formula 50 is a "1001 Use" all-purpose cleaner. Cleans almost any
surface quickly and easily. Great on ceramic tile, composition and concrete
floors, metal and unpainted machinery, plastic and vinyl upholstery, automobile
parts, whitewall tires and convertible and vinyl tops. Concentrated
Formula 50 is non-abrasive and rinses freely to prevent spotting. The
responsible choice for environmental concerns, Formula 50 contains no
chlorinated or petroleum solvents, no excess caustic, is non-toxic by ingestion
(see MSDS).
Authorized by the USDA for use in federally-inspected meat and poultry
processing plants as a floor and wall cleaner.
DIRECTIONS:
FLOORS:
Composition - Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 10 to 20 parts
water and scrub floor in usual manner. Rinse floor thoroughly.
Composition - Stripping: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 5 parts hot
water and apply to floor. Allow solution to remain on surface approximately
five minutes, then scrub with floor machine. Rinse with warm water.
(CAUTION: DO NOT apply Zep Formula 50 undiluted to composition
floors.)
Terrazzo and Ceramic Tile - Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with
10 to 40 parts hot water. Scrub floors in usual manner. Rinse.
Concrete - Cleaning: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 5 to 20 parts
water, depending upon soil. Scrub thoroughly and rinse.
Automatic Scrubbing Machines: Use 3 ozs. of Zep Formula 50 per gallon
of water for general cleaning. For heavy-duty cleaning, degreasing of
concrete, and wax stripping, use 6 ounces of Zep Formula 50 per gallon of
water.
Steam Cleaning Machines: Dilute 1 part ZEP FORMULA 50 with 10 to
30 parts water, depending upon degree of soil.
Unpainted Machinery and Equipment: (tool and die stamping machinery,
newspaper presses, linotype machines, bottling equipment, textile machinery):
Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 1 to 5 parts water, depending upon
degree of soil. Apply by spraying, wiping or brushing. Dilution with hot
water will increase cleaning power of Zep Formula 50. Allow solution to
soak on machinery for two or three minutes and then wipe dry with clean
cloth or rinse with water.
Plastic and Vinyl Upholstery: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 3 to 10
parts water. Wipe or spray on surface to be cleaned, allow to remain a few
seconds; then wipe off with a clean cloth.
Degreasing Automobile Engines, Chassis, And Other Parts: Dilute 1
part Zep Formula 50 with 3 to 5 parts hot water. For very greasy surfaces,
allow to soak 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with a strong stream of water.
Whitewall Tires: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 1 to 5 parts water,
depending on degree of soil. Spray solution on tires and allow to remain on
surface approximately one minute. Rinse with a strong stream of water.
Stubborn spots may need brushing.
Convertible and Vinyl Tops: Dilute 1 part Zep Formula 50 with 1 to 5 parts
water. Scrub with a stiff brush. Rinse thoroughly with water.
NOTE: High concentrations of Zep Formula 50 can attack painted surfaces
and polished aluminum. Test on an inconspicuous area before use, or use
very dilute solution. ALWAYS RINSE IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE, ESPECIALLY
ON GLASS SURFACES.
